Please note: applications cannot be processed without a Job Description provided. Please obtain your principal’s (and/or Governing Authority’s) signature on your Job Description prior to attaching it.
Applications for membership are assessed by comparing duties listed in the job description supplied. The Executive Membership Committee will assess your application to determine if you meet the criteria for FULL or ASSOCIATE membership and advise accordingly.
To become a FULL member, you need to be employed in a school and be responsible for the management of Finances and/or Property and/or Human Resources most of the time carrying out your duties. Members who carry out the above duties part of the time are more likely to be given ASSOCIATE membership status.
The Association will retain your details on file. The Privacy Act 1993 gives you the right to access or correct your information held by the Association. Information supplied in this application will remain confidential to the SBM Association’s National Executive and Association Partners and Sponsors.
If you are transferring schools, you are required to submit a new application form and current job description for your new position.
A separate form is on the website if you are updating your membership details, e.g. your job description has changed but you have not changed schools.
Membership Fees for 2021:
- Full Member $250 excluding GST
- Associate Member $200 excluding GST
- Retired Member $70 excluding GST
Please do not send payment with your application. You will receive an invoice when your application has been accepted.
